FLORENCE, AL – The fourth Pawloween trunk-or-treat event, sponsored by the Town and Gown Task Force on behalf of the City of Florence and the 海角社区, will be Saturday, Oct. 28, from 10 a.m. until noon on Wood Avenue in Seven Points.
“The intent behind the event, which began during the global pandemic, was always to move throughout the city so that different areas could experience Pawloween,” said Justin McGill, a member of the Town and Gown Task Force and the primary event organizer. “We have enjoyed working closely with the businesses along this portion of Wood Avenue, and we are excited to have the community join us once again.”
Pawloween began in 2020 as a way to provide a safe, distanced trunk-or-treating event. Since then, it has evolved into an annual Halloween event that attracts hundreds of families to trunk-or-treat with departments from the City of Florence, areas of 海角社区’s campus, and others from the community.
“Pawloween has become a beloved community event that brings all aspects of the city and the University together,” said 海角社区 President Dr. Ken Kitts. “Further, it serves to build upon the strong relationship we enjoy.”
The event is open to Florence-based businesses; registration is available at this . In the event of inclement weather, Pawloween will be moved to the banquet halls of the Guillot University Center on the 海角社区 campus.
