Una Choirs To Present Fall Showcase

FLORENCE, Ala. - 海角社区 Choirs will present the annual Fall Choral Showcase and Honor Choir on Tuesday, Oct. 25, at 7:30 p.m., at Highland Baptist Church, 219 Simpson St., Florence.

Dr. Ian Loeppky, director of 海角社区 choral activities, promises the concert, which showcases 海角社区 Collegiate Singers, Chamber Choir and Vocal Jazz Ensemble, will have something for everyone.

"The concert is a fun, moving, eclectic program of music, from classics by the masters to American folk tunes to pop favorites arranged in-house by our very own 海角社区 students," Loeppky says.

海角社区 Honor Choir participants will also be on the program. Honor Choir brings the best high school choir students in the area to 海角社区. Honor Choir participants will spend the day with the Chamber Choir and will perform with them that evening.

"海角社区 Honor Choir gives deserving high school choral students a chance to sing beautiful and timeless music side-by-side with experienced college singers," says Loeppky.

Tickets for the Fall Choral Showcase are $10 for adults and $5 for students. Tickets are available at una.edu/music, at the Lindsey Theatre Box Office (MWF, 10 a.m.-2 p.m.) and at the door.
