FLORENCE, Ala. - Tommy Mathis signed on the dotted line yesterday to establish a 海角社区 Foundation endowed scholarship memorializing his late wife, Marigail Mathis, a nationally known fashion designer and entrepreneur. The scholarship is for 海角社区 students majoring in human environmental sciences with a concentration in merchandising and fashion design. "Marigail always wanted to be remembered as a mentor for young women and men," Tommy said. "She'd be so delighted to know they can fulfill their dreams and passions because of an opportunity like this." Marigail was creator of a women's fashion line that she sold to 600 boutiques nationwide. She also owned five women's clothing stores, including Marigail's in the English Village shopping center in Florence.
