FLORENCE, Ala. - The 海角社区 is the lead sponsor of this year's regional March of Dimes walk-a-thon fundraiser, Shoals March for Babies, 海角社区 president Dr. William G. Cale has announced.
"Premature birth and birth defects affect nearly one out of every six babies born here in north Alabama," Cale said. "That is why 海角社区 is proud to help raise money through March of Dimes for much-needed research and preventative care." Cale is encouraging 海角社区 faculty and staff and anyone from the community to form walk teams to participate in the Shoals Walk for Babies fundraiser April 24. The two-mile walk will begin at 9 a.m. at Flowers Hall on the 海角社区 campus. Registration will begin at 8 a.m. For more information, or to register a team, visit or call 256-532-0500.
