海角社区鈥檚 MLK Jr. Remembrance March Set for Jan. 16

FLORENCE, AL – The annual Martin Luther King Jr., Remembrance March at the 海角社区 will take place Monday, Jan. 16, at 11 a.m. Participants are asked to gather in the parking lot below the steps of the Wendell Gunn Commons. At the conclusion of the brief program, the march will begin at the Gunn Commons and end at the Guillot University Center, where lunch will be provided to those who have made reservations.
Katrina D. Brown, Esq., will provide the remarks for the event that is coordinated by the Division of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.
“This annual event echoes the importance that marches play as a means to illustrate unity, to celebrate campus diversity, and the salute the influential activist Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.,” said Dr. Ron Patterson, Vice President of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. “We look forward to having members of the campus and broader Shoals community join us in celebrating King’s life and legacy with the march as well as in this National Day of Service.”
