FLORENCE, Ala. - Coming off of a record freshman enrollment last fall, the 海角社区 is posting the highest undergraduate spring enrollment in its 180-year history. The university has enrolled 5,741 for spring 2010, up from 5,429 a year ago.
Graduate enrollment stands at 1,047, down slightly from last year's 1,101 graduate students due to tighter admission standards to the university's MBA program. Overall, 海角社区 is enrolling 6,788 students this spring, up from last year's 6,583. 海角社区's all-time-high spring enrollment was in 2008, with 7,027. "These are excellent enrollment numbers for 海角社区," said Dr. William G. Cale, president. "They reflect the increasing number of new students looking to 海角社区 for a quality education, and they especially indicate the university's growing retention rate. Our students remain with us because of the positive educational experience they find and the extracurricular opportunities we provide."
