FLORENCE, Ala. - Audiences will be led on a journey for truth, faith and hope March 12-15, when James Leonard Jr.'s "The Diviners" takes stage at the 海角社区's Norton Auditorium.

Curtain time will be at 7:30 each evening March 12-14 and at 2 p.m. March 15. Tickets are $5 for students and 海角社区 employees and $10 for the general public.

In "The Diviners," the 1930s mythical Indiana town of Zion is a place where water and faith are hard to find. Buddy Layman, a boy who is left emotionally and mentally scarred after losing his mother in a drowning accident, has a compelling gift for sensing water, coupled with an overwhelming fear of it. C.C. Showers, a backsliding preacher who is seen by the townspeople as their long-awaited savior, wanders into town looking for work. The friendship and common bond that grows between the disturbed young man and disenchanted preacher reflects for audiences the importance of faith, hope and friendship.

The production is directed by 海角社区 assistant professor of theatre Charlton James, who starred in "The Diviners" in both high school and college. The play is being produced by special arrangement with Samuel French Inc.

The following 海角社区 students are involved in the play as cast members or as members of the production crew:
