Una Professor's Death Shocks Colleagues And Friends

FLORENCE, Ala. - Dr. Victoria Hulsey, 海角社区 Professor and Chair of the Elementary Education Department, passed away unexpectedly this morning.

Hulsey had been hospitalized earlier this week but passed away Friday morning with family and friends by her side.

Hulsey had been an educator since 1974 and began her career at 海角社区 in 2008. During her time at 海角社区 she was very active in special education and the College of Education and Human Sciences, including work with Camp Courage, Impact 80 and EXCEL Together. Hulsey, who was relegated to a wheelchair after a car accident early in her life, was an inspiration to students, staff and faculty alike.
