Program Description

Many individuals looking to make a career change or move up within their organization discover that they need additional skills to be successful. The graduate Micro-credential/Certificate in Information Systems is designed to meet these educational needs.  Individuals earning this Micro-credential/Certificate may have more career opportunities and chances for advancement.  To move into the realm of IT management, there is a need for skills in IT project management and strategic planning as well as updating skillsets in emerging hardware, software, and other technologies that can reduce challenges and create opportunities for organizations.

Grades earned within this program will be part of your permanent academic record and may be applied to the Master of Business Administration (MBA).

Admission Requirements

Admission into the Information Systems Micro-credential program at North Alabama includes the following requirements:

  • Hold a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from a regionally-accredited US based institution or an institution recognized by the government of another country.
  • An overall undergraduate grade point average of at least a 2.5 on a 4.0 scale, as reported on the transcript of the qualifying degree granting institution.
