In summer 2023, Drs. Blankinship and Kasl took a group of students to La Selva Biological Station in Costa Rica for an Education Away activity.

Show Me Those Worms!

Dr. Kasl demonstrates how to dissect fish for her Parasitology class as interested students watch.

The professional biology option is tailored for students aiming to pursue graduate studies leading to a Master's degree or Ph.D., as well as those interested in research and technical fields at the undergraduate level. Beginning in fall 2023, this option no longer requires a minor in chemistry but does require additional coursework in mathematics, including calculus and physics.
