What Can I Do With an MHA?
The MHA will prepare you to pursue leadership roles within the healthcare sector, while also more broadly equipping you with transferable skills that can be applied across professional endeavors. Common work settings for those with an MHA include, but are not limited to: health systems, hospitals, clinics, pharmaceutical companies, health policy organizations, government agencies, tech companies, non-profit organizations, consulting firms, public health organizations, and insurance companies.
According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the median annual salary for medical and health services managers, including health services administrators, was $101,340 as of May 2021. Employment of health services managers is projected to grow by 28% between 2021 and 2031, heavily outpacing all occupations, which is expected to grow 5% (on average) over the same time period.

Admissions Requirements
The minimum requirements for acceptance into the program include the following:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- GPA of 2.50 or higher on a 4.0 scale
- No GMAT Required
A maximum of six semester hours of graduate credit may be accepted by transfer from other approved institutions.
Full Admission Requirements (make accordion)
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from a regionally-accredited US based institution(or an institution recognized by the government of another country) with an overall GPA of at least 2.5 on a 4.0 scale.
And one of the following:
- Graduate or professional degree from a regionally accredited US based institution.
- At least 3 years of demonstrated responsibility in professional or entrepreneurial positions.
- GMAT score of 450 or higher.
Transfer Policy (make accordion)
A student seeking to transfer previously earned graduate-level semester credit hours must list information about the institution previously attended in the Academic History section of the Application for Admission and request that official transcripts be sent to 海角社区 at the time of application.
A maximum of six semester hours of graduate credit with a grade of B or better on each course may be accepted by transfer from other approved institutions provided:
- The course is designated by the parent institution as graduate credit, and
- The credit that has been earned is appropriate to the MHA Program.
Credit accepted by transfer will be shown on the student's permanent academic record but will not affect the 海角社区 grade point average. Credit accepted by transfer is for equivalent semester hours only, does not affect the quality point status required on work attempted at the 海角社区, and does not reduce the minimum required residency hours.
Credit accepted by transfer must be earned within the time limits prescribed for degree completion at 海角社区. 海角社区's policy on time limits for degree completion is as follows:
- Courses may not be applied to a degree plan more than eight years after completion, exclusive of time spent in active service in the Armed Forces of the United States.
- Graduate courses where pass/fail or satisfactory/unsatisfactory is the recorded grade may not be transferred.
