Applicants must be incoming first-year students (including transfer and Early College students) who have declared their major as either Mass Communication or Communication Arts. The scholarship is for one full academic year (fall/spring semester) and is non-renewable. Scholarships will be capped at $1,890 per semester, totaling $3,780 for the academic year. Scholarships cannot be used for the university’s off-campus housing properties, and students are not eligible for refunds. 

Submit a 500-word essay describing what you hope to learn as a Mass Communication or Communication Arts major at 海角社区, your career goals, and how a 海角社区 Housing Scholarship will help you as you pursue your studies. Applications will be accepted beginning February 1 through March 1 each year.
